Membership Options
- Scholar: This membership is intended for those that are active scholars at universities, research institutes, non-profits, or independent researchers.
- Public Membership: Public members are individuals outside higher education who are concerned about research. This membership is for those who are not scholars but would like to contribute to the research community throught the Association or other research organisation.
- Lifetime Membership: Lifetime membership last for the duration of the lifetime of the member. IARSA Life Membership shall automatically bestow upon active members who (a) have attained the age of 65 years and (b) have been a member of IARSA for such a period that the sum of his/her age and his/her years of membership equals or exceeds 100 years.
- Members Emeritus: The designation of Member Emeritus of the Association marks the past accomplishments of retired researchers and to express IARSA appreciation for the willingness of those persons to continue to be active in research-related activities at IARSA.
- Student Membership: The Student Members of the Association are recognized as young researchers who are planning to build career in research and development. The membership is open to students of under graduation/post graduation programmes of regionally accredited university/institutions.
- Honorary Membership: Honorary Membership is awarded to persons who have made outstanding contribution to the research, library and education and also sometimes awarded to members of other professions as a reflection of the respect and regard of their colleagues for a particularly important contribution over a long period of time.
- Group Membership: Group Membership provides researchers and scholars with the tools to exceed expectations. It helps your team to grow opportunities and better meet the challenges of today’s ever-evolving research community. Group memberships is accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
- Group Student Membership (GSM): Group Student Membership (GSM) programme makes it easy for you to enroll your students as IARSA members. With this programme, your students receive all the benefits of membership in IARSA, including knowledge, resources, and networking opportunities that can help them get started in their careers.
- Institutional Member: These are intended for institutions like universities, colleges, research institute and associations, think-tanks and departments. Please note that institutional membership applies only to the institution, it does not confer an IARSA membership on individual members of the institution.
- Corporate Member: Corporate membership is available for: Companies, Commissions, Corporations, Government Ministries, Bureaus, Non-Governmental Organizations, Public Agencies and Donor Banks.
