TOP-UP DEGREE PROGRAMME

Top-up degrees are for those who have successfully completed a Higher National Diploma (HND) and want to study further and progress onto the final year of an honours degree programme.

The HND to Bsc Conversion programme by our partner universities helps HND graduates and recognized professional certificate holders to upgrade their certificate to B.Sc.  Generally, any HND holder should consider the course. Most importantly, it will be very ideal for the class of graduates

• ⦁ HND holders with lower credit or pass
• ⦁ Graduates who want to change to another related or different course.
• ⦁ Graduates of polytechnics are not trained to be teachers; they can use this program to change to an education line.
• ⦁ University graduates with third (3rd) class or pass can consider the course to chase a better grade.

The indicative study duration of a Top-up degree at our partner universities is through distance learning or online modes; 12 months of part-time study. Our 100% online and part-time courses require a recommended 5-8 hours of study per week, per module. Students are also able to complete their studies faster than the indicative course duration by doubling up on modules at certain times; however, minimum study durations do apply.

There are a number of benefits in topping up your current qualification to an honours degree and it may open up further opportunities available to you in the future. By completing the top-up course you will help to demonstrate to an employer that you have the academic, organisational and management skills needed for your chosen career path.

Admission Procedures

⦁ Completed Application form shall be submitted it with a non-refundable fee of N10, 000.

⦁ Credit passes in five Ordinary Level Subjects in Senior School Certificate Education / West African School Certificate Education / General Certificate of Education / National Examination Council or their equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and other two relevant subjects, Ordinary Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND) and Professional Qualifications from recognized Polytechnics, Universities and Professional Bodies respectively.

⦁ Two letters of reference affirming the applicant’s potential for scholarly, investigative, and creative endeavors regarding business administration.

⦁ Submit official transcripts from the previous colleges and/or universities.

⦁ Provide four current color passport size photos.

⦁ A statement of educational objectives, specific focus of research, and program and career goals (Optional).
