GENOA, Italy and ABUJA, Nigeria — July 16, 2026 — The Accademia Nazionale di Medicina (AccMed), Italy’s premier institution for medical education and research, and the Academy of Innovative Research, Science & Technological Development (AcIRSTD), a leading hub for scientific advancement in Nigeria, today announced a landmark strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to bridge the scientific communities of Europe and Africa, fostering joint research, knowledge exchange, and technological innovation in healthcare.
The partnership establishes a formal framework for both institutions to co-develop medical training programs, launch collaborative clinical research initiatives, and implement cutting-edge technological solutions to address pressing global health challenges. By combining AccMed’s deep expertise in evidence-based medical education with AcIRSTD’s robust research framework and local insights, the alliance is set to accelerate healthcare delivery and scientific literacy across both regions.

Work on the initial joint projects is scheduled to begin immediately, with the first collaborative medical webinar series slated for late 2026.
