Duties of Authors
FOR AUTHORS
Duties of Authors
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a substantial contribution to the reporting study's creation, design, execution or interpretation. As co-authors, all those who have made valuable contributions should be mentioned. They should be remembered or identified as participants where others have engaged in some substantive aspects of the research project.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors should confirm that they have written fully original works, and this must be properly referenced or quoted if the authors have used the work and-or words of others. Submission is an indication that the manuscript has not been previously published and is not being considered elsewhere for publication. Authors would be supposed to sign a copyright transfer document (to be issued by the Editor) before the manuscript could be published. You are considered to have given permission to print the manuscript by mailing the manuscript to the editor or publisher.
Reporting standards
Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. The underlying data should be correctly reflected in the document. To allow others to reproduce the work, a paper should include ample detail and references. Fraudulent or intentionally false claims constitute unethical actions and are inappropriate.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Proper acknowledgement of others' work must always be given. In deciding the essence of the recorded work, writers should cite publications that were influential.
Data Access and Retention
Authors may be required to provide raw data in the form of an editorial review paper and should be prepared, where possible, to provide public access to such data and, in any case, be prepared to maintain such data for a fair period of time after publication.
Multiple Publications
Manuscripts detailing exactly the same study should not necessarily be published by an author in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal constitutes unethical and inappropriate publishing conduct.
Process of peer review: Authors must participate in the peer review process.
Guidelines for publication: It is the author's responsibility to follow the journal's submission guidelines.
Paper Authorship: Each author listed in the paper must have contributed significantly to the research.
Author Conflicts of Interest: Conflicts of interest should be disclosed by authors to the Editors.
Work of Originality: It is the responsibility of the authors to certify that their manuscript has not been published elsewhere previously.
Data Authenticity: The authenticity and reliability of all data in the paper must be stated by the authors.
Checklist for submissions: There is a checklist form for author submissions (see the form) that must be completed by all authors.
Fundamental errors: Whenever an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in the manuscript, he or she is required to retract or correct the manuscript.
Retention of raw data: In order for their manuscript to be reviewed by an editor, the authors are required to provide raw data related to their manuscript.
Role of Authors and Contributors
Each author should have participated significantly and sufficiently in the work to take responsibility for the whole content. According to the ICMJE, authorship credit should be based only on:
- Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work
- Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content
- Final approval of the version to be published; and
Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
Conditions 1 to 4 must all be met. All who meet the four criteria should be identified as authors and their names should be included in the Title Page.
The corresponding author is required to describe the co-authors’ contributions in the Authorship Form and all contributing authors should digitally sign this form. The criteria used to determine the order of authors may vary and are to be decided collectively by the authors not editors. However, if authors request removal or addition of an author after manuscript submission (before acceptance), journal editors should seek an explanation and signed Change Authorship Form for the requested change from all listed authors and from the author to be removed or added.
Role of the Corresponding Author
The corresponding author is the individual who takes primary responsibility for communication with the journal office during the manuscript submission, peer review, and publication process. The corresponding author typically ensures that the entire journal’s administrative requirements, such as providing details of authorship, ethics committee approval, and disclosures of relationships and activities, are properly completed and reported, although these duties may be delegated to one or more coauthors.
The corresponding author will check the proof edition, if the manuscript is accepted for publication, although a copy of conversations will be sent to all co-authors. The corresponding author should be also available after publication to respond to critiques of the work and cooperate with any requests from the journal for data or additional information should questions about the paper arise after publication.
Review and Publication Process
The IJSRITD accepts not or publishes manuscripts in its journal without prior peer review. There shall be a review process of manuscripts by one or more independent referees who are conversant in the pertinent subject area.
Authors should strive for maximum clarity of expression, bearing in mind that the purpose of publication is the disclosure of technical knowledge and that an excessively complex or poorly written presentation can only obscure the significance of the work presented. Material which is not essential to the continuity of the text (e.g., proofs, derivations, or calculations) be placed in Appendices
The editor evaluates the recommendation and notifies the author of the manuscript status. The manuscript may be:
- Accepted for publication with minor changes, with no re-review necessary
- Accepted for publication after substantial revision and additional review
- Accepted for publication as is
- >
Rejected.
The comments of the anonymous reviewers will be forwarded to the authors, and when the authors are ready to submit their revised manuscript, read the comments of the editors and reviewers, and respond to them by telling what modifications they have made in their manuscript or why they have not made the suggested changes.
Material which has been previously copyrighted, published, or accepted for publication will not be considered for publication in the journals.
The review process shall ensure that all authors have equal opportunity for publication of their papers. Acceptance and scheduling of publication of papers in these periodicals shall not be impeded by added criteria and procedures beyond those contained in the review process.
The editorial board is highly committed to the quick review process of the paper, but not with the sacrifice of the right judgment of a paper. The review process takes maximum two weeks.
